Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes
"Giving up is not an option"
I am going to participate in Alpe d'HuZes because I believe that we can work together on a world where you no longer die of cancer, do you want to support me?
In one day, along with 5000 other participants I will attempt to climb the Alpe d'Huez up to six times cycling, running, or walking, under the slogan 'giving up is not an option'. If you also believe in this cause, please support me by giving a donation.
We arrived in Alpe dHuez!
Last Saturday we all arrived safely in Alpe Dhuez! After we unpacked our stuff and put our bikes back together we went out for a nice dinner. Also I decided to drink my last beer before the event. It probably was one of the most tasteful beers in my life....... But all for the good cause, to be fit on Thursday 6th, D-day!
This is where we have been looking forward to for 6 months! Gathering funds, train, plan, book, get-together... And finally it's on!
On Sunday some of us did go for a first experience of the climb. For me personally, it was tough, but doable... The weather conditions were good though. It was quite warm, as we Dutch, and wannabe Dutchies decided to go on the hottest time of the day.
Now our preperation will be focused on healthy food, rest, sleep and having fun together. But also, we don't forget why we are here! To fight cancer!Share
