Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes?

During this summer, I will take on the challenge of Alpe d'HuZes with my colleagues from the Inhibitory Receptor Lab as part of Oncode Institute’s mission to fight cancer. This event is more than just a physical challenge—it’s a deeply personal journey for me. Having recently lost my father to cancer, I know the heartbreak it brings, and I want to contribute to a future where fewer people have to go through the same pain.

Despite incredible progress, cancer remains a complex and often misunderstood disease. Many forms still lack effective treatments, and too many lives are lost. We have come a long way in understanding and treating cancer, but there is still so much work to do. Research saves lives, and every donation—big or small—can make a real difference.
