Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes?
I have known Erik Couwenberg for more than 10 years now. When he started to work for Voerman Group he brought a unique outside perspective to our industry. Coming as entrepreneur with a retail background he helped to position our online strategies in his own unique way. Full of energy, glass more than half full, and always looking for an opportunity. We became friends over the years and got to know his family.
His unwavering positivity and spirit to fight his disease are undeniable. Having gone through cancer in my own family recently do know from very close what the impact is on personal life as well as all family members. This is also my inspiration to join the Alpe d'HuZes challenge from KWF Kankerbestrijding. On the 6th of June I will cycle to top of the Alpe d’Huez together with Erik and his team. Will help & support him and his wife Caroline on the climb to reach the top. Personal goal is to make the climb 2 or 3 times that day.
